Thomas Benedetto, President of the APW Educational Foundation, congratulates Nathaniel Hart, the 2007 Scholarship winner.
This
scholarship was first offered last year. The
purpose is to recognize a student who not only
exemplifies a commitment to academic
performance, but also a desire to serve others
by demonstrating good character in their
community and school life.
Nathaniel Hart, a member of the Class of 2007, was selected by the Foundation as last year's winner. He is currently attending SUNY Oswego majoring in communications. Nate is a member of the Oswego Cross Country team and is also a sports anchor for a bi-weekly, half-hour newscast, on WTOP, the campus television station. He was chosen by the college to be a 2008 Orientation Leader which is a 7 week, paid position, orienting next year's freshmen and transfer students. "Our Board of Directors congratulates Nate for this recognition and his success in college," said Thomas Benedetto, President of the Foundation. Nate is just one example of the many wonderful and talented individuals who make up the student body at APW - which makes it extremely difficult to select just one or two of them for an award like this. It could easily go to so many students," he said.
